Trading since 1992, the group is known as Cambridge Precision which incorporates Craychase and Cambridge Precision Instruments and is located in St Neots, Cambridgeshire and offers a comprehensive range of precision machining services, from research and development through to production batchwork. It deals with clients from a wide range of market sectors such as Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Motorsport, Marine and Oil & Gas.

Why did the company choose ProgressPlus?
Cambridge Precision had previously used a DOS-based “Jobshop” system which had proved difficult for staff to understand. The ProgressPlus Windows-based system offered the company a comprehensive range of functions, speed and flexibility and was extremely easy to use.

- Improved operational efficiency and faster delivery times. Sales order to Works order to Shop floor is now achieved within 24 hours, rather than 72 hours. Internal costings are now monitored more accurately and price changes can be implemented more quickly. Delivery performance has improved from about 65% to 95%.
