“ProgressPlus has enabled us to increase our turnover and improve the operational efficiency of our staff.”
Why did the company choose ProgressPlus?
In the mid-90’s, Burcas investigated various Windows-based production control systems to replace the company’s slow and out-dated MRP production and accounts system. The Berkeley Myles solution was one of the best available. Installing the original system enabled the company to increase its turnover and reduce its workforce. Upgrading to ProgressPlus brought valuable additional functionality, letting Burcas manage thousands more inventory items without delay. Linked with Sage, it provides tangible data, allowing assessment of the profitability of work carried out.
Sales Orders, Works Orders, Purchase Orders, Inventory and Stock Control, Delivery and Invoicing, etc.
- Improved quality of customer support. Quality systems have been enhanced by using the reporting function, delivery performance can be accessed quickly, approved suppliers can be viewed and orders can be contract reviewed.
- Improved operational performance. Sales order processing is seamless and purchase ordering and invoice matching is effective, saving time and money.
- Development of new business opportunities. Burcas moved into Inventory Management in the late 90s, based on the push/pull principle of KANBAN. The contribution made by ProgressPlus, coupled with Berkeley Myles support, has let Burcas deliver consistently high standards of service and develop new business. The company has also been able to expand its CNC sub-contract machining, assisted by ProgressPlus’s easy traceability features.
