Web Developer

Glasgow based Berkeley Myles Solutions is looking to recruit an experienced Web Developer to join our software development team in a newly created role.

The talented candidate will complement the existing Development department helping to implement our ongoing enhancement programme to ensure our customers across UK and Ireland maximise their investment in ProgressPlus Manufacturing Software.

Company Background

We are on a journey of remarkable growth. This is down to the team at Berkeley Myles Solutions. We pride ourselves on never losing sight of our customer’s desired business outcomes – they are at the core of what has made us a unique production control system provider for the last 25 years. We realise that as markets change – so must we for our customers. We therefore treat their challenges and opportunities as ours.

The management and staff of Berkeley Myles are professional and passionate about the company but believe the best way to ensure they provide an excellent service is in a relaxed, friendly and informal working environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in Full Stack Development ideally using Microsoft Technologies, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL. Knowledge of setting up and administering IIS Web Server would be beneficial. Understanding of business systems encompassing company-wide processes including manufacturing & accounting procedures would also be helpful. They will be a confident, self-motivated individual that can work on their own initiative with excellent communication skills.

As a Web Developer within Berkeley Myles Solutions we would anticipate you would carry out a variety of tasks but the initial project would be the creation of a secure web portal allowing both clients and suppliers of our ProgressPlus users to login to respond to enquires, view history (e.g. previous orders, deliveries, invoices etc.) as well as statistics (e.g. on-time deliveries).

An excellent career move with the opportunity to work with a market-leading product, engage with a unique user base and the platform to be trusted to do what you do best.

We also offer great working environment, relaxed atmosphere, casually dressed employees and lots of bikes from the people who cycle to work every day. You will also benefit from co-workers talking passionately about how to improve our manufacturing software.
